UXM Studio prides itself in a culture where we encourage our employees to travel. We believe in expanding wordlviews, seeing from another persepctive. It’s how we try to keep our designs and development fresh and up-to-date.
Planning mileage runs is often times a headache, especially with the different loyalty programs and their paragraphs of fine print. UXM wanted a custom solution to calculate various mileage run options that would also sort through the airline policies/nuances and apply them to the calculations.
Flight Miles was created to meet the needs of frequent flyers trying to calculate different mileage runs. The app lets you select your airline, status, and ticket class. The flyer also has the ability to add the selected fields as a preset for quick lookups.
Once the users have selected the 3 fields, the flyer can input a ticket price and then select a route. The route input field is dynamic and filters results as the user types. UXM created a custom token field kit to create a seamless input field that recognizes cities and airport codes. The token field kit is available on Github (you’re welcome).
As the traveler types in the routes the app automatically calculates base miles, elite bonus, total miles, base PQMs, class bonus, and cost/PQM (the type of award miles changes based on the airline selected). The calculations are also broken down by the leg of the trip to help the flyer see the miles applicable to that specfic segment.
To meet the multi-faceted needs of Culligan, UXM created an app that streamlined marketing materials and sales tools for three departments.
For module one Horizon needed to train their employees on the proper ways of recognizing fellow employees.
